For boat & fishing charter captains
The call you miss while you're on the water still gets answered.
When someone rings a charter captain who can't pick up, the call is answered with a short spoken message telling them the captain is out on the water and a text is on its way. They then get that text, and a short back-and-forth collects the three things worth knowing before the captain calls back: the dates they want, how many people are coming, and what kind of fishing they're after. Then it tells them the captain will call, and stops. Every message is a reply to a call the customer made themselves.
How it works
- 1
They call, nobody can pick up
The boat is out, or the captain's hands are full. The call is answered automatically with a short spoken greeting that says the captain is on the water and that a text is coming.
- 2
They get a text about that call
Once the call ends, the caller gets one text asking about the trip they rang about. It carries the opt-out and help instructions.
- 3
A few questions, by text
If they reply, an assistant asks for their dates, party size and the kind of fishing they want. It answers in a sentence or two, asks at most a couple of things at a time, and never quotes a price or confirms a booking.

The captain calls back
Once it has what it needs, it says the captain will call when he's back on shore, and stops texting. The captain opens the dashboard to the caller's number, their answers, and the whole conversation.
